Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday (set clocks ahead Saturday night)
Daylight Saving Time has an early arrival this year.
The annual time change officially occurs at 2 a.m. Sunday, March, 8, when clocks are set ahead one hour to 3 a.m.
However, most people take care of setting their clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night, ensuring that they'll be on the correct time when they wake up on Sunday.
Daylight Saving Time was extended a few years ago to give U.S. citizens even more of a chance to take advantage of the longer daylight hours during the summer.
In 2009, Daylight Time begins on March 8 and ends on Nov. 1.
In 2010, Daylight Saving Time will begin on March 14 and ends on Nov.7.
