This hunting room post has gotten me thinking again. This deer I shot in 2003, originally planned on mounting him but didn't. I've got a cape and this rack and skull plate are sitting downstairs. Do I leave it as is or do I sneak it out to the taxi this weekend while the wife is out of town? Help me out guys.

Also wondering if a 160 class buck will one day look out of place on that wall? Should it matter?

I don't think a 160 inch mainframe 8 would look out of place, I'd say take it to the taxi and good luck dealing with the consequences

I would have already had him up on my wall. Too nice to not have him up there. Get him in there ASAP! She'll understand.....

HAHA I love how you ask a bunch of hunters this question.... you gotta know the answer....mount him he's a pig!

I did something similar with a print from the deer classic this weekend... I've been forgiven already. Do him up, that is a HOG.

I have never been a fan of the saying dont mount unless its your biggest. I can sit there and look at mine all day. If you can afford it I say do it. My smallest buck on the wall is still my favorite to this day. She will understand, just hang it up when she isnt home. She probably wont even notice.

That is like a guy in a bar asking his buddies if he should have one more... DO IT!
