Mount it for sure. My philosiphy with the little lady is "If she jumps high enough she will get over it!"

Hey have you come up with a plan yet?? Looks like everyone wants to see you hang him on the wall. He is an awesome deer, congrats to you.

Here is my honest plan.....I think.

I rough scored him again and 2 years after I killed him he has shrunk down to 159", not 160. I thought I may try one of those mounting kits from vandykes as the cape is all done except for the tanning oil it needs. It may give me something to do and if turns out looking like that one from ebay that was posted on here I'm only out about $70.

Sask, When I tried my first mount I ordered a couple of videos from McKenzie Taxidermy and they were really informative. I got "Whitetail Mounting Basics" and "Whitetail Finishing Basics", both featuring Dennis Behn. I noticed they have one now featuring Joe Meder called "Commercial Whitetail Techniques" but that may be an advanced video, not really sure. If you order the videos ask them to send you their catalog too. I'd say go for it. It may wind up being something you really enjoy and might save you some $$$ in mounting in the future.

Kaare, you make me sick. I have a few deer on the wall and none of them even compare. I would have had that thing on the wall back in 2003.

I think its time to drop it off for sure.
