Dee decoys?

OK, I had intended to buy a new Carry Lite deer decoy but thought I would come here for opitions before buying. It looks like Carry Lite has changed a few times in the last couple years. New quieter material, the legs changed to folding and then to the new easy buck design. Is this correct? Is the easy buck going to be durable? Is there a better decoy available?

The input I get here is always second to none. Thanks in advance.

I have the older carrylite....bought it about 5 years ago. It's a bit cumbersume to carry around, but not too bad if you don't have to carry them it to far. I have had pretty decent luck with it, and have had several smaller bucks come right in to it.

I just haven't used it enough to give you much of a review.... havent used it at all the last few years.

Thanks for the input. I just sold the older carry lite and need to replace it. I have not heard any comments regarding their new quieter and lighter decoys or any of the many other newer decoy modles out there.

I bought carrylite's new version last fall and it is quite an improvement on the old one, which I still have. It is a little quieter, more life like and the folding legs make setting it up easier. The head also attaches much easier than the old version I bought 6 or so years ago.
I still think there is definitely some room for improvement. I didn't return it so I guess it works for now.;)

I also have a buck and doe set of montana decoys. They serve their purpose but I would still much rather have a 3-d decoy. The flat decoys work if there is good cover behind them. However if set up in the open deer seem to get a little skittish.

Nontypcl1 is your new Carry lite going to be as durable as the earlier version? You can still find the original, last years model and the new Easy buck. I am just wondering if one is superior to the other or if another brand should be considered?

I used the new carry lite decoy a lot last year. It's definitely better than the previous model I really like how you can fold the front legs under the new material is a little more quite. I think the durability will be fine overall but I did start getting a few paint chips where the head fits into the body. Not a huge deal though as the plastic underneath is basically the same color. Overall I'd recommend it, far from perfect but as far as I'm concerned it's the best looking decoy out right now. The flambeau decoy looks great too but just seems way to big and bulky the carry lite is enough.

sorry i missed this one. I think it's just as durable as the old ones. However my old model has faded a bit since I tend to leave it out during season. I usually pack the new one in when I expect to use it. so far very minor paint chips is all I have noticed, which I expect with any decoys on the market today. I still haven't found one that I consider great, but the new carrylite is working for me now and deer seem more fond of it than the older version.
