Deer and Coyotes Question

My folks have had yotes come up to their dog run and try and get their dog a few times. Had on once stand about 20 yards from the yard, dad went and got his gun, openned the door, yote standing in the same place staring at the dog, dad steps on the deck, yote looks at him then starts staring at the dog again, WHAM .204 goes off, yote drops dead. This happens a few times a year. They really like my parents dog! He acts like a great yote decoy!

I was talking to my neighbor last week about trapping coons on his ground...he told me that him and his yote chasing buddies killed around 80 yotes last year between December and February with dogs within 10 miles of my house. No wonder there is a significant lack of deer sightings in my area.

I will not hold back on those things...January and February should be a fun time with the highpower as I wait for shed season....

Decoy dogs are another way to hunt yotes. Ive seen a video on it, the dogs look like some sort of big terrior and they turn them loose dogs runs into the bush and comes running out with coyote chasing them... BANG! Dead yote. The video I watched shows the dogs bring out a pair and the shooter only shoots one so the second yote runs back in to the brush so the decoy dog runs in after it comes back with the yote right behind him.

Running coyotes with dogs is an easy way to clear out every coyote out of a section. Maybe its not easy to kill them but a couple of good hounds can run a coyote for a mile or two and kill it usually.
