So here is the deal boys! I am leaving for alaska in two weeks and need some cash! I am dumping a couple of vehicles.

First item up for bids. THE BEAST!!! Its a 92 jeep with 150K on it. Its got a straight six in it and runs like a top!! I put all new brakes on it and put some decent tires on it off my other jeep. It is a deer killer and a lady catcher! Its a great little part time rig and will treat you right! Make me an offer!

Next is the sunfish. I have backed out of selling this car a few times because I do love the gas mileage and its a decent little car. Its a 2000 with a 2.2 and runs like a champ. She is clean on the inside and has a few scratches on the outside. It has 108K on her. Also if you drive the speed limit you can get 30 mpg. but I generally get 27.. She books retail at 3600 and I was offered 2900 trade in on a 4500 dollar alero that sold out from under me!!! GRRRR Now I am just going to buy private.

So here is the deal on this. I found a truck that I want... OK I MUST Have. So if we can close this by the end of the week I will sell it for 2200. But otherwise I will be putting it in the paper for 3000 obo come friday. I am actually getting it done this time. SHE WILL BE GONE BY NEXT WEDNESDAY I GAURANTEE IT. I talked with a wholesale dealer today who shot me a decent number so I can fall back on him if necessary!

Gunny, try craigslist....free and easy. I thought for sure that friend of a friend was going to call you on the car. Sorry it didn't pan out. Alaska, you won't regret that the rest of your life. Sounds like a blast.
 
Yeah I am jacked!! I am going up there to look into some job opportunities and hit the king salmon run!!
 
I just got the jeep out and drove it around town today. Apparently my brother has been driving it, so it has a few more miles on it than I thought. Its got 166K on her. But she drove like a dream! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
 
You didn't watch Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel and decide to become a crab fisherman did you?

If so, may I be in your will?
 
Its funny you say that because for the last three months me and andy have been talking about buying a Crab Boat. She will be named the "Crab Comb" and she is gunna be a 108 foot beauty!!

Sounds like somebody has experience catching crabs.
 
I'm set to go in the vehicular department, sorry. Alaska sounds awesome though!! If you find there is a shortage of county roadmen let me know.

If someone gave me the opportunity to do it i wouldnt think twice. Too good of money to turn down. Live it up while you can and have fun while you're doing it. Good luck.
 
If you want to talk about working on a commercial fishing boat in Alaska, I can tell you of my experiences. PM me and I can give you a lot of info. I really haven't talked about it much the last few years until the Deadliest catch show came out and now a lot of people ask me about it. Makes for some really good campfire stories.
 
just wanted to let you know for you guys dying to own a suunfish or touch the holy jeep that they are both gone.

Regardless of stories, don't let anyone shy you away from what you want to try...otherwise you'll be 30 before you know and kicking yourself in the ass for not trying.
