it really depends on the size of a sealed lead acid you could fit in that box, but Im guessing you may be able to double your battery life. Ill have to look into it some more.
 
vcam - thanks for the link to the charger from zbattery. I bought the charger and while I haven't had a chance to use the batteries yet it was interesting to see how they all finished out at different times which did not happen with the other charger. Also picked up 4 of their "D" cell Maha 11,000 mAh batteries and will be testing them out in one of the camera's. I know Cuddeback recommends alcaline so if these don't work out I can always use them in a maglite I leave in the truck.

Lastly, in the units you convert to infrared, does this result in a change to battery life when compared to the regular flash?
 
Thats the idea, each cell gets just the right amount of charge. Should help our in your battery life.

I dont touch the electronics, so battery life wouold not change.
