If I bought an either sex tag for first shotgun (filled already), is it possible to buy doe tags for second season? I didn't know if that changed. If so, I may thin out some more does on the property I hunt.
I may give it a shot. My father in law has a landowners tag, but no one to hunt with now. I thought if I could get a doe tag, I could go out and sit with him and help with some QDM.
What didn't make sense to me was my brother's situation. He hunted early muzzleloader. He tried to get a doe tag for second season gun and was shot down. I'm not sure why they would not allow guys to buy more doe tags in that situation. He wanted to help with more QDM as well. I'm sure there is some reason, but it seemed easy to me. DNR makes more money from the tag, our ground has one less doe, and the HUSH program has more meat.
Well, I gave it a shot. No luck. I can get a January antlerless. I may do that. On the plus side, I can get a ginsing license. By the looks of it, I pretty much bought every license under the sun on there. Not many left to choose from. I'll just have to be patient and wait for next fall.
Cyball- they are going to charge you another $27 for the first doe tag again right? That was the way I read it in your situation. A friend is in the same spot.
Very true guys. My brother and I chose the first opportunities at bucks. I'll probably do the same again next year too, but buy a few extra doe tags for the bow. I enjoy that a little more than gun anyway.
