Can you use dogs in iowa this year to bloodtrail wounded deer? Just got a new pup and was gonna teach her to blood trail if i can use her if i ever have a bad shot on one or any other of my buddies!
I thought they changed that law last year i'm gonna do it either way cause it's a bullshit law IMO if i shoot a deer i'm doing everything in my power to recover that animal.
Do it...iowa and the dnr can get bent with their crap laws...your walking your dog..just use a long rope...good luck you arent the only one that has had dogs helping them
It is passed in Iowa I looked it up last year I have a blood trailing dog and have had him on over 100 deer in Wisconsin and found about 70 of them. The dog has to stay on a lead no longer then 30' and you can not have a weapon or cross the property line without permission. But I looked it up last year because I moved down here a few years back and my buddy hit one last year and wanted me to look for it. Just type in blood trailing deer with a dog on the DNR search bar.
