Donated a vman cam to the woods

Not entirely....I was able to salvage a memory card from the chewed up camera that lay 15 yards from the demolished case. I'm shocked that I got it to read, it only hung 4 days, it's been raining the past 4 while it lay on the ground.
I'm worried about the other 2 that I've had hanging for 2 weeks.
Sniff sniff.

Better quit eating peanut butter sandwiches when hanging cams..... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Nope...It appears as though it was run over by a car............with large teeth on it's tires.

It's not entirely there.

That stinks...time for another bear hunt? /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

silly......

is there something you can do to keep it out of the bears reach??

i know several camera companies make a bear safe box, might be worth the investment!!!

You can't keep them out of reach....they climb.

I looked into some bear safe boxes....not sure if any fit the homebrew cameras. I think I can get one for the moultrie, then again, that's the one that would have disappointed me the least to see chewed to bits. There is no shortage of bears around anywhere.

Maybe you can take the measurements and have one made for each camera. Might be the same price as buying them.
