double bull blinds and mule deer

I know this is a website for whitetails, but I am heading to South Dakota on a mule deer hunt during the second week of November. My question is will the black holes spook mule deer or do I need to put up the shoot-through screens.

Any info, insight, opinions that anyone would have would be greatly appreciated.

I watched a Jay Gregory hunt and he was saying that whitetails were the only animal that he hunted that had a problem with the holes. He claimed that Mulies, Elk, and Antelope have no effects from the holes. I saw him put a blind up in the middle of a alfalfa field with no brush to hunt Mulies!

I used mine out there last year, and it did nt seem to bother them. I had the screens down and wore black inside te blind. We are going out the second week also. Prime time rut out there! WOO HOO!!!! Where about's are you going?

We are hunting about 20 miles north of Wall. We are basically a stone's throw away from the Cheyenne River. We had some great encounters trying to spot and stalk, but finally have come to the conclusion that blinds over travel run-ways are the way to go. How about you???

Stu, We had ours in Wyoming when we were hunting antelope and the mulies never even looked at it. These were not the bucks you would want to shoot though. I don't know how a big one would react. All of the mulies I saw sure paid less attention than the antelope though.

Clear up in the North West Corner around the town of Buffalo. We are about 2 hours north of sturgis in Hardin Co. Going in two weeks for Antelope, then again in Nov for Monster Mulies!! Going to use a decoy and dbl bull both times hopefully. Good Luck
