I could not agree with you more, Doug /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif I pretty much try to avoid the whole isle their booths are set up in... it is not worth the hassle trying to get past the slobber fest of guys standing around their booth. I take it you guys don't think too much of the Hunting "Pro's", and their honest hunting depiction shows on TV? I think another one of these operations is going to open up across the road from me. I can hardly wait!! And say,,who submitted the shoot the deer all year bill? I have an itchy typing finger again.

As I was working in my basement last night I had the outdoor channel on and the show Bone Collector came on...as soon as they started blabbing I had to put down my paint brush and listen to those goons....the terms "Iowa is the best" "monster bucks" "mega bucks" were used over and over and over...and who's place did they pull up to....Lee and Tiff. Michael Waddel did nothing but brag up Iowa the entire show....I about wanted to puke. Anybody catch it?

Ya, I saw it. Could you have empahsized how good Iowa is a few more time please?? If the NR tags were to ever increase, Lee and Tiffany are gonna have to build a bigger house for all those celebrities that will be coming up to hunt with them.
 
Rumor has it that more land is being bought up down south by Mossy Oak and other celebrities and Lee and Tiff are managing it. I do not know if there is any truth to it or not.
 
You guys are right, for one they aren't hunting deer. They have deer farms. When you are a 3 1/2 yr old buck and have no chance of getting shot on there farm, no wonder they take big bucks every year.
 
Are those governor tags that they give to that list of celebrities free for them? They got the money why not charge them 10grand a pop, they'll pay. How much money did they get off those videos they laid down in Iowa last year, o wait they promoted the state right?? They would do that in their sleep.... Just don't make that list any longer.

I think the Realtree video did a good job too.
 
im a nr in love with Iowa also. but i will sacrifice my year of hunting if it makes the state keep the quotas where they are..and that is saying alot cuz my huntng areas are falling by the wayside as i sit here in wisconsin....hope they dont change anything.....
 
Just to add a little gas on the fire.... As a NR bow hunter I still don't understand why there are so few of the 6000 NR licenses available to us? I could get a doe license every year for a shotgun and party hunt a buck with a resident but I can't shoot a buck or doe with a bow for three years??? I'm a bow hunter!!!

You're right they should close that party hunting option down. But they have rightly choosen, I must admit, to use the most effective method of reducing deer numbers, with a gun and a orange army in the woods, to be liberal with NR hunting.
