Drones and future management…..

Current Iowa law states drones cannot be flown over private property I believe. Unsure how that can be enforced....
There are a number of drawbacks to using a drone for recovery...but when the leaves are gone they can be effective. I run a tracking dog, and know some folks that have both dog and drones in other states where legal. Most of them have found a dog to be more effective...most of the time...but of course there are limitations with dogs as well.
Many of the drone operators in other states do charge more for their use...I was told an average of $400. The drones are a big investment. If that is the case, I suspect this may limit the people who will pay for them to come find their deer.
Is there current legislation in play regarding their use for recovery?
I am having a hard time seeing how they could be possibly regulated...

They are expensive now, but they won't be in the near future. Same thing happened with cell cameras- they were once expensive and novel, nobody really blinked because it wasn't a big deal. Expense limited the use. Now you can get a reliable cell camera 2 pack for $100 with cheap service plans and everyone and their mother has them. Big change in only 5-10 years. Plan for the future with anything technology. It evolves faster than anyone is aware of and will continue to do so, especially with AI...
