Dry?

Well Most of Iowa IA is dry, Crops look green still living off the spring flooding. DesMoines has had only one good rain for July,,last week an inch. Ott is 2 1/2" deficit for July,,Burlington has had less than a half inch all month! Strange thing is,,unlike last summer,when big heat was keeping things dry,,this summer,lots of fronts coming thru, but widespread rain does not develope. NE Iowa has been getting frequent rains, isolated and widely scattered the rest of the state. Big rain beginning of this week will miss Iowa to the south

No one reading this anymore ---but weather looks dry. Best Forcing over Wis and Mi, best moisture near the heat in Kansas and Mo. Iowa in the middle.

In Hutchinson Kansas we were dry until about 10 days ago, now it seems like the rain will never stop. We received more than 4" over the past weekend.

Yes you are in the favored spot now. On the edge of the heat in a NW flow. Up here in Iowa we are too far from the moisture. A SW flow favors us. You will continue to get rain Friday,,next Monday. Enjoy it! The drought is real up here and now supposed to last thru August

Got 2" @ my farm in SE iowa. Looks like everyone from Burlington to Ottumwa got something.

Best rain was down across southern row of counties with MO. Ott-.4 further north .3 ,but up in the DesMoines area really dry. Especially north of DesMoines. Big rains still aim for Mo,,Kansas,Okl, and south,,along the edge of the heat and humidity,.
