Don't know if this still holds true but a laywer I used probably 15 years ago told me to "Always specifically ask for a blood test". He claimed that if you made the request, they had to bring you to the hospital to get one and the results of that is what they'd have to use. He said often times it can take 30-60 minutes or more to get this done and by then you may be under. I don't know if this info is or ever was valid or not but I've always remembered it.
