We would like to invite you to a discussion this Saturday in Ottumwa with Richard Leopold, the newly appointed Director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.


This discussion is the result of a January 6th forum sponsored by the Ottumwa Courier, during which many people spoke up about DNR-related issues.

That’s why we’ve asked Director Leopold to come to our area.
He will answer questions from the public at 10 AM this Saturday in Ottumwa at the Wapello County Law Center, 330 W. Second Street. Every interested citizen is welcome to attend.

Nope...not yet anyway

It might be interesting but I have a feeling it could be crowded.

Wapello County has been besieged with large hog confinement permit requests.

People naturally have been up in arms over it. I'd be real surprised if the new director doesn't get a earfull about anything but conservation and hunting issues.

I'm not sure if I would be able to go yet or not... (I better check with the boss

)

Nope. Just saw Rich this morning funny he didn't give me a personal invite.

I have only sent a few letters over the years in hard copy, most of my issues are sent via e-mail so I figured I made it on the "black" or "red" list depending on who I was bothering. Just was curious how they decided who to invite. This e-mail address is also shared with Farm Bureau. ???

I know Vonk has been to several meetings there in the past.

I saw these folks on TV the other night and they are understandably very upset... making wonder what the actual disscusion will be about
