Effing weather...

muddy

I know that deer will do their things regardless but the future cast of high 50 degree temps and sunny does NOT brighten my mood. With vacation right around the corner, I worry.

Relax Mud... there was a real heavy frost on the ground this morning as I left the house for work.

Looked like a perfect morning for a hunt to me!

Feel fortunate that you will have time to spend hunting.

Oh, good luck!

Yeah yeah, nice frost but I'm working.

I always worry when it comes to trying to hit it right.

Luck to you as well.

I go to Canada the first week of June every year. Early spring or late spring has only ever adjusted the fishing a couple of days forward or back. Nature's clock doesn't get adjusted very easily. The shooters we got/saw this weekend were showing themselves at dawn and dusk. I have all of next week off, and I expect irregardless of the weather, they will be running in the daylight.

Muddy, Mornings should still be good, but the afternoons might be a little slow with the 70's in the forcast!

Mornings are great and if the afternoons are anything what like I saw yesterday, they are far from what I would call slow!

Check out next weekend Muddy. Rain late Sat. and ending Sunday. Not much drop in temps. but a little bit. If the forecast holds I look for some big ones to go down next Sat./Sun. Maggs

The accuweather.com forecast does not have a day in the next 10 where the wind is supposed to be blowing less than 10 MPH...many days are supposed to exceed 15 MPH. I hate sitting out there when the wind is howling.

I've got a valley stand I plan to hit the next day the wind is out of the west (and I'm not at work

). It is a north-south creek bottom with trees to the west. The trees only continue about 30 yards to the east of the creek. There is a heavy trail between the creek and the timber's edge. I'll put the Lone Wolf up right on the edge of the trees. Hopefully get up high enough for any scent that escapes the Ghost to go over top of deer running the edge of the field. The wind tends to be fairly quiet down in this valley.

I gotta laugh, I tag out and notice the cooling trend that is coming down the pipe! Looks like the next week will be much cooler temps, great for those bucks to lock down on a doe with.

Good luck to you all.

Wow, this week aughtta be AWESOME in the timber... snow predicted twice this week and highs in the mid 40's. Good luck guys/gals!

I could just cry. just checked the forcast, snow, 1-3 in. by the middle of the week. anyone wanna babysit for back straps? anyone? PLEASE?!?!?

I'm so giddy waiting for it to snow I can't sit still. We're supposed to get 3-5 inches up here in MN tomorrow night...after gun season ends!! HA HA. Rotten gun hunters banging away during the rut! With a 3 day weekend, something should spill blood.

Same thing here in Nebraska. Gun hunters out in the rut with cold weather and snow on the way. Been a crappy year weather wise for the bowhunting. Warm and windy.

"Rotten gun hunters..."??? Whoe there big fella...hope your not implying gun hunters are bad...they have just as much as right to be putting holes in deer as bowhunters. Even if it is a little louder.
