End of the season

Not that we ever "deserve" anything, but man, with the work you put in scouting and such and non-biased info you provide, and the awesome trail cams you put on here for us (despite others not sharing photos because of "lurkers")......that is AWESOME to see you shoot that giant!

Congrats and thanks for the info you've provided us....:way:

Congrats Joe. After killing him, have you figured out if you have any past history with him? I know you didn't think so previously, but sometimes once you get the antlers in your hands, the pieces of the puzzle come together.

Thanks guys, and no, I have no history with this buck. He showed up around thanksgiving marking most of my trees, but only coming out during the middle of the night. You could tell he was not from around here, the way he acted, and I expected him to leave and go back to where ever he came from at any time. The 2 bucks I started the season after, both got busted up by mid-nov., so I put all my time into this buck.

I am looking forward to next season with a great carryover of good bucks, so hopefully Colton will get a chance at the buck he wants early. After 3 seasons of trying to get a target buck by bow, he realizes how great the youth season was before he turned 16. Right now Corben, my 9 year old is happy to shoot any older bully bucks we have in sept-oct. before it gets cold.
