Tremendous buck Brooks! Congrats!! Great story, great buck - love it and can't wait to see the footage :way:

Well Done and well deserved. I think it is simply amazing how some of these bucks disappear and then show up months later. Love the short history on him. Very cool. Congrats !!!

Great story, totally enjoyed it, pics were awesome and added so much to it! Love the name of the buck and finally CONGRATs on hunting hard and finishing the deal. Good job!

A great buck, lots of history, shared with family, it doesn't get much better than that! Thanks for sharing the story and congratulations on a buck well earned.:)

Is that considered hunting?

Does anyone consider that hunting? You know, killing deer from heated, insulated, carpeted, glass-windowed, recliner-containing, elevated buildings that overlook manicured, specially prepared, food-plot kill zones?

Not to be a buzz-kill, but what you're doing isn't hunting, in any way, shape or form. When you're shooting deer out of a window, unless you're a horribly disabled veteran, that's an embarrassment.

Your comment is an embarrassment!

I do know this...

One thing is for certain, a 100" buck taken the right way, by actually hunting one up for real, is a far greater trophy and achievement than killing a 190" buck from a heated, insulated, carpeted, glass-windowed, recliner-containing, elevated building that overlooks a manicured, specially prepared, food-plot kill zone.

We have a fellow in our area in Kansas who only hunts from heated, elevated buildings over corn feeders. He's considered a joke and pitied, because no matter what he kills, he's never done it for real, and never had a day of actual hunting in his whole life...

Deer feeders and food plots are completely different hunting strategies

Bait is Bait

Maybe, but when you think about it, both are crutches. They both provide an unnecessary and unfair advantage, especially in the post rut when mature bucks are trying to survive and recover, and double especially when they are covered by heated, insulated, carpeted, glass-windowed, recliner-containing, elevated buildings!

If you hunt a natural food source or a cut corn field in the post rut, that's a valid strategy. But hunting a manicured, specially prepared, food-plot kill zone in the post rut is a cheap imitation of actual hunting.

MNbuckhunter, wrote be "proud of your hard work and accomplishment." What, in building a heated, insulated, carpeted, glass-windowed, recliner-containing, elevated building that covers a manicured, specially prepared, food-plot kill zone? Where is the "accomplishment" of killing a deer in those circumstances?

Please explain. I'm confused. What's next, 8-foot deer-proof fences? Oh, wait...

STFU Broc unless you hunt from the ground, rubbing mud in your slit, shooting a bow you widdled yourself with a broadhead made from antlers I don't want to hear your mouth again!!!

What a disrespectful POS!!!!

Jealousy doesn't look real good on you "Bronc". If you don't have anything better to do than rain on someone else's parade for a perfectly legal, well planned and executed hunt, then just shut the Hell up!!!

Great buck & well done!

All the planning & preparation are as much a part of the "hunt" as sitting behind a bush wearing naught but a loin cloth and shooting a deer with a hand hewn bow & flint arrowheads like the "Bronc" probably does....

Broncazonk = Perfect example of why some of us don't contribute more to this site and just lurk in the corner.

There's always going to be people that disagree with the way others hunt, but at least be respectful and congratulate them and keep your abrasive comments to yourself, or don't say anything at all.

Back to the original reason for this thread. Great buck, good job putting in the time, and thanks for posting OOBoneCollector!
