Exit strategies when surrounded by deer?

I've often thought about the coyote howl but didn't really want to alarm everything within a half mile of me that there was an awkwardly loud coyote rampaging through there home turf... Kind of like the sling shot idea! Haha

I would not suggest the coyote idea! I've tried it twice in the past week and the deer actually ran my way and got to about 20 yards and just stood there looking my direction...maybe I'm a terrible howler but it did not work at all lol

I wonder if a bobcat growl would work. I have watched deer get out of dodge when the local cat was on the prowl...

I think you just found your new deer call! I'd call it a curiousity call.

How about just yelling at them. It's going to do the same thing that a coyote howl is doing. Spooking them off the field. Either way they responding to what they hear as a predator. I think we overthink these things sometimes.
