Extreme southeast Iowa land

My brothers and I have been looking to purchase hunting land somewhere in Iowa for a while now. We have an opportunity to purchase some land a few miles west of Keokuk in extreme southeast Iowa. Does anyone here have any experience hunting in this part of Iowa ? The land itself looks like it has good cover, a pond and a couple spots for food plots, but when walking the land we didn't see any big rubs to confirm that big bucks were using the property. The area around this property looks good as well. Any input / insight into this area of Iowa would be greatly appreciated. Our concerns would be hunting pressure / trespassing, deer numbers and the size of bucks in the area. Thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

Looking at that 116 acre place on Johnson street road eh? Well, it is a nice place but if we are talking of the same ground....you may need to be here all the time to keep people out. Lots of traffic from hunters in the area

It's great country down here in the most forested county in Iowa. If you like it and there is good habitat (or habitat that can be improved), you can grow big deer. Good luck!
