FALL PLOTS--- Pros/Cons Brassicas Rape etc vs Wheat Oats Rye Peas

My best plots have brassicas emerged for a few weeks then gone over the top with the cereal rye. Deer crush them thru shed season.

I strip plant my bigger plot that I frost seeded with clover earlier in the year, rotating in soybeans, ptt (overseeded with winter rye 30 days later), pumpkins, and soon crimson clover. My micro plots got cow peas and will get dwarf essex rape. I'll overseed another 10a of beans with wheat or rye depending on harvest date. I'm still learning and trying different things because, well, it's fun.
