Fawns

I went out tonight and i saw 2 fawns sucking for milk from there mom about 20 yards from me. I let them go but i was just wondering how late the mother lets them milk or maybe they were just born late and trying to catch up on getting bigger. I was just seeing what u guys think about this

I've shot does that were lactating during shotgun season. I've heard that does will drive off the fawns during the rut. I don't hesitate to wean a fawn during bow season.

I also saw two fawns nursing on 10/5 and both were good sized fawns. I also wouldn't hesitate to take the doe. The ones I saw were definately old enough to be weaned.
