Since I do have the county attorney and sheriff involved in this one, I'll take this down plus the situation has got nothing but worse since I orinally posted it, this was the initial problems. I'll let Sheriff handle this going forward.

WOW! Thats about all I can say. The good news is that it sounds like he has high odds of an early death.:drink2::drink2:

I have been there but can honestly say not that bad. I feel for you man. The sad thing is that after all the calls I made etc, there isn't a whole lot one can do which is a terrible answer.

I don't know the answer to the fence question but most likely the best thing you can do, like with most jerks, is ignore them and they will grow weary of tormenting you if it gets no response. Then he'll go back to focusing on his beer. Most likely the harder you push, the worse it will get as these guys have nothing to lose. My life has been more peaceful since I just ignored some of the stuff my neighbor was doing (within reason-the sister thing absolutely must be dealt with). In the long run deal with the areas you must and forget what you can-he willl eventually go away.

Well I know its not leagal but id probably go turn the donkeys loose everytime they were tied up next to the fence keeping me up, maybe he'd find a better place to put them. Im not sure how the fence situation would go but you did pay for half of what he put up so I would think he would have to do the same thing.

I think huntyak gives sage advice! I'd put the fence up and pay for it all if need be. I cant imagine listening to donkeys all nightlong.

He really has no right to round-up or burn things on your side of the fence, but what can a guy do without fanning the flames of border war?

Gives me a new appreciation for my neighbors!

Go buy yourself a pet cougar and put it next to your side of the fence......my guess is those donkeys wouldn't stay there for long!!!

What a Moron!

I really do feel for you! I would have to say that spraying your trees with round up (or any herbicide) and/or burning them amounts to vandalism and charges can be pressed and restitution accounted for. Of course that could also backfire and create more problems. Usually, if a neighbor's tree grows limbs over on your property, you have the right to trim them away (which is what he should be doing), but you don't have the right (or legal authority; at least here in AZ) to destroy someone else's property on their land. I would talk to the local authorities about that one and get evidence (trail cams are great for that) to support your claims. As for the donkeys, well, I agree, ignore the SOB and hope he moves on once his (apparent) one brain cell and associated synapse starts firing and he figures out he doesn't matter to you. I hate to compare a moron like that to my kids (5 yrs and 21 mos), but if you ignore the tantrums and unwanted behavior they will lose interest and move on. The other piece of advice would be this: "Never have a battle of wits with an idiot. They just bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!" Good luck!

What a d-bag. I'd say if he thinks he can vandalize your trees and such then he should have no issue with vandalism of his property, say, a little bit of antifreeze for those donkeys! I also like the pet cougar idea!!!

Really though, I didn't mean that, it just puts it into perspective. If he's whackin down your trees that is vandalism and charges should be pressed. Also, is there a way you could get a no-contact order? That way any time he tries to contact you or is on your property you could file harassment charges.

This situation really sucks though and I feel for you.

Just buy his property then he'll have to move somewhere else...if we are luck he'll move next to Dwilk or Dannyboy, unless that's who you're talking about?

Wow, sounds like you have quite an issue on your hands.

I would definatly untie the donkeys in the middle of the night then use a hot shot on them to send them to the other side of the property. It will either make it way better or way worse... Take your chances.

dont know anything about the fence situation, but as far as the killing the trees. That would be a problem, there'd be a bill or something for that. Regardless. He has the right to keep his side of the fence clear... NOT YOURS.

Good luck.

I'd charge him $500 bucks a tree and send him the bill. Your time to plant them is at least worth $100/hr.

Dumbass neighbors suck!!! Really good luck with him I feel for you.... I never understood why people have to be jackasses...

I mean really... why be a jerk!?! It seems simple when you put it like that! Hope you get things settled out.

A paintball gun to those donkeys might keep them at bay!! If he keeps wandering into your yard get the cops involved. If he's on your land and you don't want him there it's real simple.....that's trespassing. By the sounds of it it wouldn't be his first brush with the law.

2 Sides

It seems to me that every situation like this usually has two sides. Everyone can be quick to assume that what was originally posted is 100% accurate, while in reality that might not be true. In my experience, sometimes people come into an area from elsewhere thinking they have the ability to change everything including the people. Maybe skip should re-asses the situation and make sure he is seeing the real circumstances before he finds himself in over his head.:way:
