Fewer deer & more fees

I remember the ice storm of last year about this time. I also remember during turkey season this spring that I saw some of the skinniest deer I have ever seen in my life. I also saw far fewer deer during this bow season & have heard more of the same during the gun seasons.

While I know that the ice storm alone is not responsible for the fewer numbers of deer, it is a factor. The flooding didn't help matters either. So, here we are w/ a major ice storm on the way. Most deer will survive but the numbers will dwindle. The DNR wants to raise fees for hunting. What happens when we reach the point that the DNR can't sell extra antlerless tags due to low deer numbers in some areas of the state? That money will have to be made up somewhere. Who do you think they'll look to for more money?

Non-residents.

But there are plenty of discussions alot like this one that have already been thoroughly debated in the PMA section.

Heck Ill give it a shot.. Thanks JNRBRONC
