finding asparagas in north half of the state?

anybody? i have found a stretch of road that is absolutely filthy with asparagas. trying to decide if its time for a road trip. my patches around here are just starting to get goin

Here were I live (Southwest Iowa) there's only a few spots left. Some older couple last year put salt on it...

From reports I have gotten its is just barely getting going in the NE corner of the state(Fayette County).

We actually picked some pretty nice stuff tonight Northeast Iowa.

We've got several patches on our acreage and they have been producing for a week now. Had about a pound with dinner last night... Mmmmmmmmm....

Right about the hwy 30 corridor, central iowa.
