Heard the first gobbles of the Spring this morning walking to my truck to go to work.

Now they can tease me every morning before work until April!

I've been hearing a few gobble also. Between the gobblers and the geese landing on the pond...it's giving me spring fever!!

Too bad about that "work thing" though...

Spring and Summer isn't all that bad really, Jan-April, (shed hunting), April-May (Shed hunting and turkey hunting) May (Mushroom hunting) May-August (Fishing, Starting to locate bucks, shooting the bow) August- Ocotober (Shooting the bow, running trail cams, locating bucks, finding new stand locations) Ocotber -Jan (Hunting)

It's good to know the boys of Spring are starting to get worked up

I like the way you think Liv.Matt and I talked about the same stuff a couple year's ago and decided there wasn't enough month's in the year to cover it all.

Haven't heard the gobbles but have seen a few toms breaking away from the pack in the last week. Came across two different ones yesterday that were loners while shedding. Just a matter of time until Thomas goes down.

I heard a couple of them gobbling the other afternoon while I was shed hunting.

I know that I am sure getting pumped up to hunt them.

I have been spending time practicing with the bow………now when that new Double Bull Matrix gets here I will be ready.

Swung past a timber I hunt on the way to work the other morning. Shut the truck off, rolled the window down and listened to a couple birds pretty full of themselves.

I'm ready, now I just have to find the time this year.

Haven't been out to hear the gobbles, but I am seeing red wing black birds and robins. Spring fever here it comes!!!!

I wonder if our Merriams are that much different than the easterns when it comes to gobbling.

Allthough the gobbling isn't as intense in the winter, they never stop.
I heard them all winter here.
