fixing tail feathers

I shot a turkey and was thinking about getting a 3/4 mount done. Can a taxidermist fix a fan that looks a little rough, like it is wet?

Just wet looking yes, missing feathers yes.

If i decide not to do the 3/4 mount and just do a plaque mount myself, can i fix them myself?

If they were just wet, wash then blow dry them, if missing feathers, replace the missing ones with a spare fan, if bent you can straighten them.
