A couple days before I shot my two deer, I did manage to get a pheasant with the flintlock smoothie. :)

Incredible! Shot in flight or on the ground? Maybe that's a dumb question, but I'm completely ignorant about bird hunting with a flintlock.

In flight. Same as regular shotgun only shots are closer due to open cyl. bore and you have to lead a bit more as ignition time is a bit slower than modern.
 
The picture isn't showing up, but that's just awesome! I think I'd be more surprised if you said you shot something with a modern firearm! Congrats, Jay!
