Fluoresent orange on a blind?

Have any of you ever bowhunted turkeys from a blind with fluoresent orange on it?And if so,did it have any negative effects on getting birds close to your setup?I've considered putting some orange on my blind for safety reasons, but really don't want to,nor should I have to.But after a close call last year,I'm alittle gun shy about sitting in a blind around here.I'd like to try a V-type blind where I could keep my back to a large tree and also be aware of my surroundings.Although, regulations only allow blinds that encompass you 360 degrees and must have a top also.I realize I'd have to secure the orange as not to flap in the wind, but what's your opinion?Have you ever expierenced any negative effects displaying orange while bowhunting turkeys?

Haven't felt the need to during turkey season, but I frequently put an orange flag up on a sheltered blind during gun seasons for deer. I have never noticed an effect and have had turkeys walk within a very short distance while the flag was up.

I agree with NWBuck, I've done the same thing when gunning for deer. I've had turkeys come up with-in bow range and not give the orange vest in the tree branch above the blind a second look. It may be a function of height too. Blaze orange on, or close to the ground may have different results. I have always hung the vest a good 8 ft above the ground when I'm in a blind during shotgun season.

Ive never used a flag but have had a negative respose with flouresent<SP> feathers on my arrows. I swear they have seen them. i even believe they notice the red on my G2. Personal opinion. but i wouldnt want that to be the reason for not killing a tom!

They claim turkeys see in trichromatic colors like humans. If the claim is true, they would definitely notice the orange, but does it actually spook them? Hunters here must wear a minimum of 100 sq.in. of orange while moving, but then it can be removed at your calling location. With all these orange blobs moving about at times, their sure to spook a lot of birds without even knowing. Then after several bad expierences with the orange blobs,I wonder if turkeys actually start to associate the orange with danger? With their walnut sized brain ,one would think no.But when it comes to animal instincts for survival anything is possible. This was the reasoning behind my question, but don't have any expierence with this situation to say,but it does make me wonder.
