Ever handled a shovelnose sturgeon? They're covered in pretty sharp "scales" and when they flip around it elicits a most amusing response.

He he...I would have let it go too. Had a shovelnose lay my finger wide open once trying to hold on to it while it was squirming. Serious armor on those babies.
