I am a little surprised by the chewing and smoking on stand. Don't you guys worry about the scent of Copenhagen being spread. They have to be able to smell that.
As far as the Copenhagen: Well I don't spit, breathe thru my nose and discard the copenhagen in a plactic baggie when I am done. I have not had a problem with it yet but things can change at anytime.
SDBuck, I don't do it if the wind isn't right for me to do it. I also don't do it often but every now and then I break down. I really don't know if they can associate the smell with danger, humans yes...cigs not sure.
Supertec, I'm a panzy smoker, no heavies, just our lite menthols like Mcy D's!
Regarding the smell of cig smoke. I have had deer walk right by me while smoking and have also lit cigarets with does under my stand, they don't really even look.
Well since I am not a fan of cancer I stay away from the tobacco, because I have had too many relatives die from the stuff. I usually just pack some sandwhiches, a pop, and some jerky.
For all my hunts, I always have my grape Propel to drink, just love that stuff. And if it's a all day hunt,I'll also take along some fruit&grain bars, and an apple.
Important question for me (I have type I diabetes). Peanut butter cracker sandwiches seem to have just the right combo of a few carbs and protein to keep me in the stands a long time. Also I feel best on long sits when I've been drinking plenty of bottled water. An apple or two are always in my pack as well.
