Lots of green, and standing beans for late season(enough to sustain the number of deer on the property. Plan your plots around your stands not vice versa! Take into consideration predominant wind direction during the season you plan to hunt, amount and direction of sunlight, location to bedding areas, etc.. To many guys just put in a plot without thinking it through first hoping that it will work, and the deer just end up feeding on it after dark due to pressure, wrong wind, and no accessability. I personally think access to your stands and wind directions are key when hunting a food plot.
