Frost seed varieties

In the aftermath of Christmas I was thinking about my frost-seeding project in a few months. What varieties of clover work best? Any other suggestions of things to frost seed besides clover?

Both red and white clovers (including ladino clovers) frost seed well.

Whites being the preffered clover for deer since it doesn't get as tall and rank as the reds.

Red clover is however one of the easiest to frost seed.

Chicory can also be frost seeded so I'm going to give it a try in established clover and alfalfa plots.

Feb/March are best times when ground is freezing at night and thawing in the day time (kinda like it's been doing around here lately...)

Few seed choice but there are plenty of others out there...
