Frost seeding and cold?

Forgot the last part of your question. Use mine for turnips and all brassicas, Clovers and Alfalfa. I also really like it for switch grass as I struggle to get the Rates right any other way.
Also planted something called teff it was half the size seed of switch grass.

Have you ever used a no-till drill? I thought the Brillion was "the sh*t" until I used a drill. Still like it best for frost seeding clovers but for summer/fall food plots, the drill is great b/c no tilling involved. Just load up and plant right into whatever. Then spray dead the competition (or before, doesn't matter). No "trash" to contend with. Overall, way faster.

With the Brillion I always had trouble getting the large-box seeds into the ground well enough for quick germination and growth. Did fine for the small seeds....like clover and brassica.

Have a Great Plains no till drill as well. Works great Can do a lot with it. Still lacks the depth control of the brillion on worked ground and lack precision of the planter for beans. If I could only have one it would be a drill. Mine has the native seed boxes to do warm season grass very versatile.
