My point was that much of the timber is now taxed as Ag property. In the future more of it will move of the Ag tax rolls and become taxed more like golf courses.

10-4, but the state/counties in IA will not do that if the bulk of rec property owners remain IA residents. IF Iowa changes NR tag allocations and NR land owernship regs that promote more NR ownership, then I can see it. IA residents and legislature assume NR's who buy land have the $ to pay the extra tax. A very small % of IA rec ground is owned by NR's compared to states like IL.
