Here we go again with the gas prices this summer. Oil on the world market is has been dropping. Last time world oil prices were used as an excuse to raise prices, now that they are falling the gas price goes up? Oh, I know, some refineries are down,,yea, right, Exon doesn't need an excuse. Can't do a thing about it,,Car Pool,,Stay Home,,only problem is, I live 100 miles from my hunt land. I pick up cans for gas.

A hard core hunter does what he as to. I have given up trap and sporting clay's leagues to support my scouting habits. (mainly the cost of my extra gas putting on 25 miles every other day.)

I'm fighting back. I bought some USO today! Oil is down now, what will happen when it starts to go up. Can you say 4$/gallon. Oh yeah I drive 100 miles every day....thats fun!

Me too, got it about a week ago. I going to invent a car or truck that runs on BS, that way I can always have fuel as long as Me and all my buddies are in it.

Everyone that doesn't buy fuel on the 15th is just going to buy a few gallons more on the 16th or have filled up on the 14th. If you want to get their attention, stop USING fuel for a few days.

I like the BS car idea- elections are going to heat up!

Some of these are gonna make you feel good...others are gonna make you cry.

Brazil runs all ethanol fuel from sugar cane and their gas is still $3.12

Need get a car to run off my grass clippings.........

What do you think is required to make/ship ethanol? Ethanol is one of the biggest scams in the history of mankind. Read up on it a little and you will see what I mean. Not to mention that it is one of the biggest polluters and worst things for wildlife/conservation around. I was onboard the ethanol train before I took the time to take a closer look at the recipe. To top it all of, it is subsidized with our tax dollars.

Ethanol will never be anything close to a substitute for gas in the US.

I just watched a progam the other night, 20/20 I think. They were going through the top 20 consumer scams or something similar to this. Guess what #1 was??? Ethanol. Suprised the heck out of me.
Do a little research like DOR said, it will sure open your eyes.

Gas in itself is a scam...
and the owners got us by the balls, and there is nothing we can do,
i cant afford to drive to hunt and fish as much as i used to......
it irritating, but what can you do???

I am not a pro ethanol person - I work for a large pork producer and we compete with them plants for corn!! I know all about us paying for them to make the ethanol - if I remember right ethanol producers wouldn't start loosing money until corn hit $5.
What this means that everything that is fed corn will be passed back down to us in higher prices we pay at the butcher shop.

BTW - Brazil uses sugar cane for their ethanol

Saddam out of office, now opec has complete control of the market's.Oil companies and refineries are going to break us all.No solution's in sight either.Until other option's are found we are all doomed!!!

PEOPLE LISTEN UP! It is not OPEC or the oil companies that are screwing us on gas prices, it is ENVIRONMENTAL WACKOS.

Supply and demand dictates gas prices. Gasoline consumption and gone way up in the last 20 years, but we are unable to build new oil refineries because of 10 years worth of law suits by all the nut jobs out there. Our refineries are running at 100% output and can't keep up with demand.

A year ago gas was at $3.00+ a gallon and oil was $75 a barrel. Now we are at $3.00 a gallon with $60 barrel prices. The price of crude is only a part of the problem. I don't remember anyone crying for the oil companies 15 years ago when crude was $10 a barrel and oil companies were going belly-up right and left.

Corn will not save us. More efficient cars will not save us. A BIG stick upside a few lefty skulls might.

I don't think people know the whole truth to the corn "ethanol". It is NOT going to lower prices, look at corn prices, how can it??
