Giant ragweed

I have 5a I tilled up in early spring and planted clover into. Well, fast forward to September and I have 5-6' tall giant ragweed heavy throughout the plot, and underneath that ragweed, there are spots of ladino clover, not a bunch, but some in spots....

Question is what to do with it. I obviously was trying to get a clover plot started in it, but not sure where to take it from here.

I have winter rye, arrowleaf clover, chicory, alfalfa, and Kenland Red clover on hand.....what would you do?

I have the same problem in an area I cannot get equipment into. what my plan is to broadcast seed again this week before the rain showers and then do the same thing again in spring and hopefully let that clover over take anything else trying to compete.

Not sure if it will work but can’t get equipment back there so going to try this route.

You might be surprised how well the clover would take over if you mow Rasheed and keep it mowed next year. Id start there

Thanks guys, I think I'll try the mow half/leave the other half approach - that sounds good to me. Do I mow the half now or wait until spring?

How thick is it? I'm with the others.. I'd mow and see how it does at greenup.

If it was a good clover stand, you may be suprised..

It's so thick that I have to fight to walk thru it... It was quite the workout... I'll get it mowed in the next week then....

Thx
