Gobbler Guillotine

I watched the double bull guys decapitate 3 or 4 birds on their new video. I am going to buy some of the 4" 125 grainers as soon as I can find the damn things. I'm convinced these are the best thing to come to turkey hunting in a long time. Have them for open shots, you either kill 'em or you miss 'em. Keep a few expandables for body shots or in brushier areas. The little green things fit over the blades and help stabilize the arrow. They also have gargantuan fletchings, around 6 inches or so, to stabilize them. In the videos I've watched they work great and fly great. Any stores out in Des Moines have the 125's in stock?

I know that the bow shop in Winterset has the 125 and 100 gr. The mistake that I made was I only used 4" fletchings and I don't know how good they are going to fly. I wish there was someway to test them before I go out.

I think you'll need the bigger fletchings. Also, the GG have custom made arrows for them, not sure how yours will work. From what I can tell the arrows are heavy duty carbons with very thick walls, probably arrows designed for over 80 pounds and for big big game. I realize you're much smarter than teeroy says you are and that you probably already realize this, but make sure you have full length arrows or you'll have some major issues with your sight.

How much does that shop charge for them?

Muddy - they have them in stock at CIA. I think they are aournd $34.00 or something like that. They can ship them to you if you dont want to drive!

They charge 31.99 for 3. I bought 3 full length 2116's. I haven't seen the carbons you are talking about, I'll have to ask the shop and see if they can get some in. As for tee-roy well we really don't need to say anything there now do we.

supertec/lx - thanks, both of those prices are more than what scheels has them for over here in IC. Maybe I'll call the company and see if I can work something out. Thanks again.

I thought you tried that last year! You might need a little supertec charm to pull her off!

i'm shooting the guillotines this year and was able to take about a 12 yard shot on a long beard yesterday that was coming in to smash my jake decoy. we couldn't get him to stop so i had to try a moving shot and caught him square in the front shoulder, rolled him like a sledge hammer but the arrow didn't penitrate & he got up and ran off, if he was in full strut it would have been different, i'm really a believer in them though it just takes the right situation for them to work, although we were fortunate enough to get my hit and my hunting partners kill with a spitfire of a 22# 8.5" longbeard on video yesterday that was pretty cool. I'm shooting the guillotines on 32" 2514's with 5" vanes and they seem to fly well with 3 gobler getters in my quiver for back up. good luck with the head shots guys i try to get one for the site in the next month.
