We've all had mornings when the gobbling on the roost never seems to pause. Those are the best mornings. There's also been mornings when we're on the flip side of the coin - never hear a gobble on the roost. Most of the time, the mute seems to happen on crummy weather mornings, but not always. This morning was about as nice of morning as one can get - sunshine, cool, light winds - a person can hear for miles. Oddly, I never heard a gobble the whole morning, anywhere. My close sources that were out in their blinds also had similar activity, or lack there of. We all have plenty of bearded birds around, so it's not like the trees are empty. I'm curious if anyone has any insight on why some mornings the Toms go crazy with their vocals and other mornings they zip it.
