Good luck to everyone this weekend! If the rain clouds pass it looks to be prime time.
I'm excited, I make my first solo bow hunt in the morning, my daughter (age 14) is finished with Spring Prom, has a 2nd season gun tag for Saturday, and is looking forward to some "blind time" with Dad.
My son (age 12) is left with a bow tag after a crappy weather youth season. He is going solo with no blind and bow in hand. Can't wait to take those harvest pictures!!! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
I told him I was never able to kill a gobbler with a bow without being in a blind. He said, "I almost did it last year, sure, a little more green up would help!"
I told him to use the drainages and work from the bottom of the creek up a side hill toward the strut zone on top.
"Yeah, I know, that was my plan."
Should be fun...a bad day of turkey hunting is better than a good day at work any day!
Good luck boys...I'm looking forward to all the harvest pictures come Monday! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
