Thanks guitarzan , Hey IA have anything like KS walk-in program or IL, access program ?
I have printed topo's from state lands.
Was just wondering if you all have a program that helps N/R's get interduced to land owners . Like IL & Ks..??

WHTFANTASIES - I am totally open on areas to hunt. I have some connections for properties in Ringgold, Montgomery, Clarke, and Taylor counties, but I have never seen any of the properties. I am working on finding aerial views off the terra server website which should help a little

. I am very interested in anything you can help me with. I'm open to public or private properties as long as there are some decent deer there. I've never shot a P&Y deer and this could be my best chance to do so. I'm not hung up on P&Y, but it would be nice to shoot a really nice buck once. I will probably try to make a trip or two up to look over some places once I am organized and have some sort of clue as to where I need to go.

I found this site from somebody else on this site. I like it a lot better than Terraserver, because it's easier to find the property you looking for. We had a big wall map made of the property we hunt using this site.

What week do you think you will be coming to Iowa. There are two areas of public land Icould probably point you to if you would just e-mail me and i will get you some more info.Nitroskyhawk@aol.com

MXZ,
I left ya a post on bowsite (deerbarber) Here is the deal on that zone 3 public land. If you dont mind a hike you can get to some good deer. Those swamps at the Snyders bend location are just a fun place to hunt. there is a State campground right on site but that late in the year it will be too cold for that. private ground would be better for ya but its tough to come by..Unless you have it lined up Id spend my time hunting the deer on state ground.
