Got My Muzzy Buck Back!

Got the call from my taxidermist earlier this week that my deer would be done on Thursday. It really made it tough to wait until today when I got off of work to make the 40 mile trip to pick him up. Chris Heying of Heying's Taxidermy in New Hampton did the work. I don't think I could be happier with the way he turned out.

158ish. He actually had a broken tine that I had him repair. I had cam video of him with rack fully intact a day before I shot him. The day I shot him, the tine was broken off. Probably would have scored 163ish with broken tine still intact. I took a trailcam pic I had of him for him to try and match it. I had Chris do a buck for me in 2005, which was the first year he started to do this full time. He did a great job on that buck so I decided to to with him again. The picture from the front makes him look way bigger than he actually is.
