Gray fox

Been a while since I've seen one. Caught one back in 2016 while trapping. Had this red/grey fox double in a pair of coyote sets:



Couple years later picked up a grey on trail cam a couple of times two months apart in a different area. Assume it was the same one both instances but haven't seen one in that area since.

I saw one two winters ago crossing hwy 37 into a cattle yard in western Iowa. It was very distinct and memorable, something one wouldn't confuse with any other critter. At the time, I didn't even know a gray fox existed but I looked it up as soon as I could

Ive seen 2. One over 20 years ago at Lake Red Rock, the other on my farm about 5 years ago. For some reason we have had more pictures of coyote and red fox on the farm than usual.
