If you click on the website above, it is the aerial map and the 160 acres I just bought is the square piece in the bottom right corner that kind of looks like an oak leaf with fingers of trees and farm ground in between the trees.

You'll see the crop fields (they're the whitest looking fields on the map) in between the fingers of trees.

It is in Loess Hills, Harrison County Iowa (about 1 hour from Omaha) and it is the best piece of ground I have bought yet for deer hunting.

It's very "wooly" and the fields will be perfect food plots. All the surrounding ground is CRP or Pasture and the food plots should bring in tons of deer.

There are also 2 springs that go thru it and there are two small ponds on it.

I paid $1,785 per acre and it will return about $10,000 year in income now in rent.

What would you guys do with the farmground, would you put it into CRP and then leave some places for food plots?

Any other recommendations on what to do with it to attract the biggest deer possible?

Thanks Guys! Cory

If I were you I would hire me to come down and sit in a tree stand in november. I just got some new deer scent that will bring the deer in from all over.

Seriously though I would definetly have some food plots. I couldn't see the link either. Good luck with it.

If your looking for more ground theres 198 acres for sale up here in the north country that it all set up in wrp with food plots, crp, ponds and trees. I could oversee it for you

I think we need to start a poll and see which one of pharmers avatars we like best. My vote goes to the pink sweater.
