guardian OWNERS

i had an offer come in on my bow, so its time to get back to trying to decide between the guardain and allegiance. those of you that have been shooting the guardian all summer...any issues? still love it?

secondary question, what stab. you got on it?

I'm not trying to bash bowtech here, or anybody that shoots one, but, I had the chance to shoot a guardian over my lunch break yesterday, and I really don't see what all they hype is about. Yes, it's a good bow but not any better than the new bows that came out last year. It feels absolutely no different than my Trykon, and I'm sure it shoots exactly the same as last years Tribute or Allegience (Notice I said nothing about Mathews

). Again, I'm not disputing the fact that it's a great bow. It is quiet with very little hand shock, but I just don't see why people would want to get rid of last years models to get this one. No difference in my opinion. I guess I just get a little frustrated when people start drinking the cool-aid. I know this has nothing to do really with the original post, but I just wanted to share my experience.

just looking for input from guardian owners. thanks anyhow

Loving mine!

Only thing I had to do was tighten down the mod screws in the cams once as they were rattling and coming loose....kinda scary.

Being a die hard hoyt fan I must say that I'm very impressed with the guardian. Smooth shooting and fast. It doesnt seem like it is that quick until you shoot it through a chrono. Go with the guardian troy............or get alittle more serious and get a hoyt.

Ditto. Only difference is I put the S-coil with the added modular donut thingy on it, seemed I could detect a slight advantage to it.
Only problem Ive had is losing the upper string suppressor twice.

I bought the Guardian over the 07 Allegiance. Reason, why is this. I own a 06 Allegiance and prefer the draw cycle of the Allegiance over the Guardian any day of the week, but..... I hated how light the Allegiance is this year and I shot the 07 Allegiance and didnt care for the excessive hand shock compared to my 06.

I just have a regular S-Coil on it and works fine.

If I could tell you anything is look for a 06 Allegiance

Go with whatever shoots best for you.... I am very impressed with my Guardian. I love the solid back wall.... long riser balances very nice at full draw.

You really don't need a stabilizer... but I have a simple S-Coil like most have. I took off my wrist sling... totally unnecessary, especially for hunting... just something extra to struggle getting your glove thru if in a hurry.

I replaced the cable slide with a solid teflon one... stock one is cheap and was starting to fray my cables (did not notice that until I replaced it)...

Overall, a fantastic bow....

I've been shooting some bows while helping my little brother shop for a new one. Got my hands on a Guardian the other day........WOW! Hell of a shooter. My first arrow centered the target, the second one nicked the first one. The most shock free bow I've ever shot in my life, compound or traditional. Great balance to, didn't seem to need a stabilizer.

Not hard to see why you guys bought, I'm gonna lend my brother a little extra dough for one if he decide's he wants to go that route.

RBB........, I am your Father!

Come over to the DARK SIDE!

I was a hoyt man. And it killed me to do it but I bought the new guardian in May. I liked the way it felt and shot. But I am only one person. Lovin it so far and shoot it every night.

went to see boyd today. got mine ordered. damn muzzy doesn't have a zero effect that will work on a guardian. going to have to shoot a different drop away rest for the first time in my life......i hate it

going to go with the limbdriver. i don't like extra strings hanging off my bow, but it looks like the best option to me.

i was happy, right up until boyd said he would have to order the one i want....now i'm depressed
