Gustav = Rain!

Lot of us have food plots in that could really use a drink and it looks like the remnants of Gustav are going to give us a good drenching over the next few days. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Looks like rain will be from Pella south and east, then over to the Quad Cities and up to Chicago. Most of IA will miss it. My Rye is down near Fairfield so it is getting gentle rain right now, I am thankful!

Been raining here ALL day my plots are loving it. But I need to still get some mowing done so I can kill some brome and try to get a few acres of rye in. Wish I could have seeded it last weekend.

Re: Now it's Ike!

Pays to watch the weather patterns....if you have some rye you would like to broadcast into some soybeans or you want to spread some urea on brassicas or cereal grains....just ahead of a BIG rain is just the ticket!

We have big rains coming even before Ike gets here...

Ike may only give us a "glancing blow"...so we'll have to watch the path...
