Well, I just got back from the taxidermist with my deer. It turned out great and looks nice on the wall in our family room. My wife hasn't see it yet, so I'm sure her overwhelming excitement of my placement will be fun to watch. :)

Thanks guys. I like the mount too. The original had more of a Roman nose than the mount, but I like having him on the wall.

Yeah, I was a little puzzled by the blood left on the antler. Some was under the DNR tag, but some was in plain sight. I've since cleaned it all off with some windex and an old tooth brush. Looks good now.

Not sure how old. I was thinking 5 1/2 to 6 1/2. I don't know how to age by teeth, but they were fairly worn down.
