Well as many of you know, our kids grow up way too fast. As is apparent in my case,My son Jacob who is now 13, got a new PSE Deerhunter two seasons ago.
That didnt last long, the 26 inch max draw came up quite a bit short this summer. Sooooo, we made a trip to Happy Apple archery last night and did a little shopping. By the time we were done Jacob was the happy proud owner of a Parker Phoenix34. I hunt with recurves so I don't know alot about compounds but I am impressed with this bow, It is a very nice setup. It has a Quick releasr bow quiver, dropaway rest a good fiber optic sight and some new carbon arrows along with a pack of Muzzy broadheads. We still have to sight it in but other than that we are going to be in good shape when season opens up.
Rick and Sue out at the archery shop are definiteley top notch and we were well taken care of. Hats off to them.

On a side note my 11 year old also has outgrown his little Hoyt Reflex and will be inheriting an almost brand new PSE Deerhunter. Maybe We will get a few more years out of it.

I think I'm more excited about the whole thing than they are and just wanted to share my experience , wish us luck and good luck to you all.

That's great Dan!!!

It's a great feeling when your kids are interested in the same things you are.

Sounds like your fun is just beginning.

Good luck to you and your kids this season!

I know what you mean Dan. I am in the process of getting a new Genisis bow bought for my two sons and setting it up for them. I'm excited to get it all done and suprise them with it. Congrats to the young man. Good luck to you and him this year.

We are going through similar growing pains as my son has grown out of his Browning Micro Adrenaline and moved into my old Mathews FX (no additional expense there and glad I didn't sell it). The problem is my daughter wants a new a Hoyt Ultratec so she can join us in the woods. I don't know anything about Hoyts but am excited about her desire to bow hunt. She is determined to gut her own deer which my son has yet to accomplish on the two does he has taken. Should be an entertaining fall as the competitive spirits are brewing.

That Parker lineup has really caught my eye the past year or two. I went so far as shooting a few Parker's earlier this summer and was very impressed. When my Hoyt gives out I plan on investing in a Parker.
Not that my Hoyt isn't a great bow, but the "bang for the buck" factor makes it a no contest...espcecially since the Parker's fit me.

Rick and Sue are Very Nice People! Wonderful facility also! My daughters are shooting the genesis biws right now and they love them. Wide range of adjustments on them, they can shoot it for a lifetime!
