Hang on stands

Any one use the Amacker Timb-R-Lock Hang-on Tree stands? I'm going to be hunting some public land starting this year and need to take out my stand after each hunt. Years past I've just hunted private and could leave my stands in. I'm not to fond of heights, so looking for the easiest stand to put in and get into. I thought the J hook and T-bar, made it a little bit more hands free and easier.
I was thinking of a climber, however, i don't think I'd be able to get in half the trees in the woods due to all the branches going every other way.
Any thoughts...I know lone wolf is what a lot of you will say, but don't want to drop $200+.
Thanks

I have around a dozen stands and they are all the 30 dallar variety that you can get at Menards or sportsmans guide. At $30 I never worry about someone stealing one and they have always worked flawlessly for me other than an occasional squeak which WD takes care of.

I am with you on the $30 Menards stands....I have several of them ....not only are they easy to setup, but you aren't so worried about them being out there all year.

I have a $150 Gorilla stand I got as a gift that I don't even like to put up because it cost as much as 5 of my other stands.

I also get ladder stands at menards for under $50 on sale......late in the season is the best time to buy stands there.:way:

I use the same $30 el-cheapo's...they do the trick and I've even invested a full day in one. Add in 16' of climbing sticks and you're set. They go up and come down easy, but they're not the most convenient to haul in and out every time.

I have some long Velcro shoulder straps that I've modified to make my setup into a backpack.

To counteract the squeaks I use an additional ratchet strap...I'd never use WD-40.

I don't personally us WD either but some do. Does any one know why they quit putting chains on the hangons I still have a few left with chains and man they are solid. I liked them better than two straps but I just don't see them anymore. Seems they would be way stronger than just srtaps

I live in MN and am going to add Public land hunting to osme of the private land I hunt, and any time you are hunting public land the stand has to come out with you.

Crooked trees are either for a LW or ladder stands. The LW really has a great adjustment system for crooked trees. I normally like a little backward tilt to my trees anyway as it makes climbing a little easier and the sitting position on the stand is more comfortable if the tree tilts away from the stand slightly anyway.

For my regular hang-on stands, I drill an extra set of holes in most platforms to allow for cable adjustment for a backward tilt. Stick a couple small wrenches in your pack and you can usually find enough adjustment to make most hang-ons work, either straight-up or slightly back.

The side-side issues are more difficult.

I know they are $$$ but Lone Wolf stands are the best imo. For packing in and out they are great and go up in most trees fast they are hard to beat.

Sportsman guide has a great combo deal about 65$ Stand is tight and secure and the sticks are awesome. A little camo paint and and still use a summit climber if I need it.

If you are pulling them down each time and running and gunning; NOTHING even comes close to a Lone Wolf. Those other stands will make so much noise, running and gunning with them is impossible. This is coming from someone who used to do the exact same thing you are talking about on Michigan public land. 1 LW Assault and 4 sticks are all you need.

Todd, you ever try a Muddy stand? The give LW a run for their money if you ask me. Super light weight, easy to hang and about half the price!

I've tried to pack a muddy but they don't fit together in back mode as a Lone Wolf.
